Tina Turner is no ordinary singer, she is a woman who has won not just awards, but even the hearts of people. Born on 26th November, 1939, Anna Mae Bullock, Tina is a world favorite, due to her raw energy that reflects in her singing. Dynamic and charismatic, her life is a tale of ups and downs. Tina is known for her achievements in rock music. Besides, being one of the most popular entertainers, she is also touted as one of the most successful female rockstars! This undisputed Queen of Rock 'n' Roll is also credited with the development of R&B music. Her track, 'A Fool in Love' was one of her first R&B smash hit.

Although she had a shaky start in the 1970s, she had major hits in the 80s. One of the biggest accomplishment of this singer is being inducted into the 'Rock and Roll Hall of Fame'.

Apart from this, she even has a whopping 8 Grammy Awards to her credit. Her number one hit solo track was, 'What's Love Got to Do with It'. Tina Turner even had two of her greatest tracks, 'River Deep Mountain High' and 'Proud Mary' being included in the Grammy Hall of Fame. This was sung with her husband, Ike Turner. Ike and Tina recorded together as a duo for many genres of music such as Soul, Funk, Blues and of course, Rock 'n' Roll! They tasted success in the 1960s and all through the 70s.

Although she rose to stardom with her husband, she had her share of pitfalls. Her personal relationship was strained due to many reasons. After her divorce with Ike, she said that she had no time to harbor any bitterness and moved on with her career.
